The Russian Defense Ministry: Ukrainian military was pushed back from the line of defense in all directions

1 Republic of Donbass News about the special military operation. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the pro-Russian forces liberated the village of Zaitsevo, near the town of Artemovsk. Igor Konashenkov stated that as a result of the offensive actions, 120 servicemen from the 58th Ukrainian motorized infantry brigade and 128th Ukrainian mountain assault brigade were eliminated. In the Kupyansky area, 3 Ukrainian battalion tactical groups tried to resume the offensive towards the towns of Kislovka, Berestovoye, and Pershotravny. The attempt was unsuccessful. All the attacks were repelled. In the Kharkov region, the Russian artillery destroyed 2 Ukrainian sabotage and scouting groups: namely 2 pick-up trucks with heavy machine guns and 25 servicemen. The pro-Russian forces are in a full control of the town of Kremennaya, in the LPR — the ambassador of the LPR in Russia, Rodion Miroshnik, stated. According to him — the People’s Militia of the LPR maintain the control over the town. Fortifications are being actively erected, and defense lines are being built. Artillery of the pro-Russian forces hit the Ukrainian troops. Rodion Miroshnik added that the Ukrainian military sent up to 10,000 servicemen and mercenaries to the village of Torskoye and the city of Seversk. The acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, reported that Ukrainian sabotage groups are trying to cut off the route from Kremennaya to Svatov. The pro-Russian forces successfully repel the attacks.

2 Thailand 2 more people died after an attack of an ex-policeman on a kindergarten in north-east of Thailand. The total number of victims reached 38. The tragedy took place in the Naklang district, on 6th of October. After a court hearing, the former police officer, Panya Khamrap, went to a kindergarten that his son had previously attended. There he attacked the teachers with a knife, and then shot the sleeping children. The ex-policeman, fired for dealing and using drugs, then went home on his pick-up truck. Along the way he drove over, and opened fire at passers-by. Back at home he killed his wife and child, after which he killed himself. 12 victims were taken to the hospital. The doctors couldn’t save 2 people. Khamrap killed 38 people, including 23 children. According to the preliminary data, the ex-policeman could be taken into custody back on 30th of September, since the investigators claimed that he continued to sell drugs even after the start of the criminal case.

3 Russia «Russia is ready to stop the special military operation in Ukraine on the terms, proposed by Moscow» — the chairwoman of the Russian Federal Council, Valentina Matvienko, stated. She invited the Ukrainian parliamentarians to start negotiations, but she also clarified that the entry of 4 new territories into Russia won’t be discussed. «It’s out of the question, they are already part of our Russia. But we are ready to stop the further hostilities, on the terms that Russia will offer» — Valentina Matviyenko stated. She represents Russia at the summit of speakers of parliaments of the G20 that is taking place in Indonesia. Valentina Matvienko invited the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation to sit down at the negotiating table during the G20. She stated that Russia is in favor of a peaceful settlement of the crisis.

4 Syria After the landing of American troops in north-east of Syria, armed clashes began near the city of Qamishli. «Several members of the allied Syrian army forces were injured in clashes with the US military after they carried out an amphibious landing in the Syrian village of Mulyuk Sarai» — a local military source told to the RIA NEWS. The source stated that the USA justified the landing with the intention to eliminate one of the members of the ISIS. The source added that the US military kidnapped several members of allied Syrian army forces. Earlier, the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Major-General Oleg Yegorov, stated that the US-backed terrorists increased their activity in Syria. According to him, since 1st of August, 2022, the terrorists have carried out 8 attacks on the positions of government forces.

Russia, Abkhazia, Syria The representatives of Russia, Abkhazia and Syria have agreed on an establishment of a 3-way consultation mechanism at the level of foreign ministries — the press service of the Abkhaz ministry of foreign affairs reported. “This mechanism is aimed at the development and implementation of trade, economic, and humanitarian matters” — the Abkhazian Foreign Minister, Inal Ardzinba, told to the press service. He added that the initiative was put forward by Abkhazia and Syria. The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has approved the proposal. Inal Ardzinba is currently in Moscow, on a working visit.

6 Armenia — Turkey — Azerbaijan Today, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, plans to hold negotiations with the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ilham Aliyev and Tayyip Erdogan, during the current European Political Community summit. He noted that it is planned to discuss the peace agenda. After the Prague summit, the Armenian Prime Minister will travel to St. Petersburg, for an informal CIS summit. In his statements on Nagorno-Karabakh and the settlement of relations with Azerbaijan, Pashinyan spoke not about the independence of the republic, but about ensuring the security of its inhabitants. He also called for lowering the status of Artsakh.
