The shelling of Donbass is intensifying

Despite the start of the negotiations of the trilateral contact group, on 6th of April the Ukrainian troops continued their shelling of the territory of the DPR. The villages of Aleksandrovka, Trudovskaya, Petrovskoye, Zhabichevo, Leninskoye, Sosnovskoye, Vesyoloye and Sakhanka were under fire of the Ukrainian troops.

Several villages near the town of Gorlovka were shelled. There are dead and wounded. The local houses and infrastructure were damaged. On 8th of April the Ukrainian troops fired on the village of Zaitsevo. As a result of the shelling of the village of Shirokaya Balka — the local power line was damaged. The village was cut off the grid. 224 residents were left without electricity.

During the global fight against the new coronavirus, the Ukrainian troops continue their terror attacks on the civilian population of Donbass. They target only the residential areas of the settlements in the Republic. The 28th Ukrainian brigade opened fire from anti-tank grenade launchers and weaponry of IFVs at the village of Staromikhailovka. As a result of the shelling — 4 residential buildings were damaged.

The Ukrainian troops continue the destabilization of the situation on the contact line, while ignoring the implementation of the Minsk agreements, and despite the on-going negotiations of the Trilateral Contact Group, gathered for a peaceful settlement of the Conflict in Donbass. On the night of 7th of April the village of Spartak was under fire. As a result — the local power line and 3 residential buildings were damaged. The Ukrainian troops opened sniper fire at the convoy of the employees from the Vasilievsky pumping station.

The Ukrainian troops opened fire from the village of Peski at the Donetsk Airport. As a result of the shelling — several houses of the Kuibyshevsky district of the city of Donetsk were damaged or partially destroyed.

“As a result of a shelling of the village of Shirokaya Balka on 9th of April a young woman born in 1994 was killed. A strike UAV dropped bombs at ‘Plotinnaya Street, house 166’. The wounded young woman died on the way to the hospital” — said Ivan Prikhodko, the mayor of Gorlovka. According to the mayor of Gorlovka, a man born in 1960 received a fragmentary wound to his neck, chest, ear, as well as a penetrating wound of a lung.
