1 Azerbaijan

It was reported that Armenia shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani army with small arms, mortars, and artillery. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that during the fighting, 3 Armenian artillery installations, several mortars, and 3 trucks with personnel were disabled. «The Azerbaijani army controls the operational situation along the front line» — the statement concluded. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry also reported that on Wednesday morning, Armenia shelled the Terter region of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

2 Armenia

The press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Shushan Stepanyan, reported on Facebook that the air defense forces of the defense army of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh republic shot down an Azerbaijani Air Force plane in the southern sector of the frontline in Nagorno-Karabakh. 3 Armenia

4 Russia

The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, held separate meetings on 20th and 21st of October with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Jeyhun Bayramov and Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. «During the talks there was a discussion of the urgent issues, related to the implementation of the agreements on a ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, and on the creation of conditions for a sustainable settlement of the conflict» — the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

5 Armenia

The Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during an interview to the newspaper ‘Iran’ that the countries of the region should take the presence of the terrorists in Nagorno-Karabakh seriously. “It has been confirmed at the international level that the mercenaries from Syria are indeed being deployed in the region, via Turkey, in order to participate in hostilities. It poses a significant threat to the region. Unfortunately the countries of the region haven’t responded to this reality. There is no doubt that the presence of the foreign terrorists will represent a threat to the region in the future. The countries of the region should take this issue more seriously» — the Armenian embassy in Iran quoted Pashinyan’s words. Earlier, Armenia stated that the Turkish servicemen are taking part in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the side of Azerbaijan. Turkey is also sending mercenaries from the pro-Turkish Syrian groups to the conflict zone.
