According to the department — the participants tried to break into the parliament building, shopping centers and supermarkets. They also blocked the roads.

According to him, after this incident, the Russian Foreign Ministry will, most likely, send a note of protest to Japan.

The Egyptian security forces eliminated 17 terrorists that, according to the police, were involved in the explosion in the city of Cairo on Sunday — Interfax reports while citing a statement from the Egyptian Interior Ministry. All those terrorists were in the armed wing of the ‘Hasm’ group, associated with the «Muslim Brotherhood», which is outlawed in the country. As a result of a collision of several cars in the center of Cairo on Sunday evening — an explosion took place. As a result, 20 people died, 47 were injured. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi qualified the incident as a terrorist attack. As the investigation established — one of the cars was hijacked. The car carried some explosives.
