The terrorists continue their shelling in Syria

1 Syria

The SANA News Agency reported that a joint patrol of the US troops and the Kurdish ‘Democratic Syrian Forces’ was ambushed by the terrorists in the Suvar area of Deir ez-Zor. 1 US serviceman and 2 Kurds died during the fight. The wounded troops were delivered by helicopters to the US base in Al-Shaddadi, in the south of the nearby province of Hasakah.

2 Syria

The Syrian news agency SANA reported that the Turkish military forces and the terrorists, supported by Turkey, shelled the settlements in Hasakah province. It was reported that the terrorists, stationed near the Turkish observation posts in the villages of Anek Al-Hawa and Tel Mendahl, fired from mortars and artillery pieces at a number of villages in the vicinity of Tel Tamr and Abu Rasayn. The Turkish forces shelled these settlements from the territory of Turkey.

3 Afghanistan

The news agency AFP reported, while citing a statement made by a Taliban spokesperson, that the Taliban movement announced the end of negotiations with the Afghan government on the exchange of PoWs. The Taliban emissary stated on Twitter that the commission on prisoners was sent to Kabul in order to verify and identify the Taliban prisoners, but «their release is still being delayed under one reason or another». In this regard, starting from Tuesday, “our technical group won’t participate in the useless meetings with the involved parties» — the Taliban representative concluded.

4 Serbia — Russia

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that after the disinfection at the Dragisha Mishovich Medical Clinical Center in the city of Belgrade — the Russian military doctors began receiving patients with suspected coronavirus infection. It was reported that the Russian doctors firstly studied the local organization of the treatment process, got acquainted with the diagnostic equipment and the other specifics of their Serbian colleagues. The Russian medical teams were sent to assess the epidemiological situation in other cities of Serbia, where they will advise their “Serbian colleagues on the organization of the quarantine and disinfection measures, and share their experience in the treatment of highly pathogenic diseases” — the Ministry concluded.

5 The DPRK — The USA

The »Aircraft Spots» reported that a US Air Force reconnaissance aircraft flew over the Korean Peninsula on Tuesday. The Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft was spotted above South Korea while flying over the provinces of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do, which are in a close proximity to the DPRK. The information on the flight time wasn’t specified. It was noted that flights of the American aircraft became more common after the DPRK authorities resumed their missile tests.

6 Russia

The Russian Ministry of Energy received an invitation from the OPEC to become a participant in the OPEC+ ministerial meeting, which will be held on 9th of April as a video conference. In total, the OPEC invited 36 countries, such as the USA, the UK, Canada, Norway and Brazil, to an online meeting on the oil market. The TASS news agency reports while citing a source in the OPEC that OPEC+ countries are discussing a reduction of the oil production under the new deal, from May to the end of July 2020.
