In the Dnepropetrovsk region, a ground control station of the UAVs «Bayraktar» was destroyed. 2 Ukrainian MiG-29s were shot down in the Kherson region — Igor Konashenkov reported and added that in the Zaporozhye region the Russian air force eliminated up 100 servicemen from the Ukrainian 9th Special Purpose Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine ’’Gepard’’, plus more than 50 foreign mercenaries. An area of deployment of the Ukrainian 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade, stationed in the industrial area of the city of Nikolaev, was destroyed by the precision weapons of the Russian air forces. Up to 50 Ukrainian servicemen plus 5 combat vehicles were destroyed.

The referendum has already been declared valid in the LPR. The international observers didn’t see any irregularities in the voting process. The counting has already begun at a number of areas. The final results may be known by the morning of the 28th of September. The international observers from Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Serbia, Mozambique, France, and the Central African Republic recorded no violations, except for the threats and shelling from Ukraine. The observers noted the enthusiasm of the voters.
3 Europe The European Commission is aware of the state of emergency in the operation of the ’Nord Stream’ and ’Nord Stream 2’ gas pipelines, and is currently monitoring the situation. On 27th of September, during a press conference in Brussels, a EC representative Tim McPhee stated that the security of the energy supplies to the EU is currently intact. He added that it is too early to talk about the causes of the state of emergency. Earlier it was reported that the north of the Iraqi Kurdistan is also being attacked by the Iranian forces.
5 Yemen The Yemeni rebels are ready to use rockets to attack the facilities of foreign companies producing oil in Yemen. The movement’s official spokesman, Yahya Sari stated — the ’Khabar’ news agency reported. In his address to the mass media, he accused the foreign companies of plundering the wealth of the country. He added that the resumption of hostilities could begin if the Yemeni government, and its foreign allies, won’t comply with a number of conditions of the peace agreement. Namely — paying salaries to the Yemeni civil servants and opening the country’s airports and seaports. The ceasefire expires in early October. The UN intends to seek from the parties of the conflict to extend the truce for another 3 months.
6 Europe The Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, plans to visit Russia and Ukraine during this week to continue the negotiations on the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. While commenting on the course of negotiations on the creation of a security zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant — he stated that there is some progress. «I think we’re making progress» — he stated. Recently Rafael Grossi held a meeting with the head of Rosatom, Alexei Likhachev, during the agency’s conference. Plans were discussed to create a protective zone around the Zaporozhye NPP. According to Rafael Grossi — the creation of such zone is a necessary step to reduce the risks of a nuclear incident at the nuclear power plant.
