The Ukrainian troops are mining the road to the settlement of Shastie

«The observers from the OSCE recorded the mining of the road, leading to the village of Shastie, by the Ukrainian forces». This was announced by an officer of the press service of the LPR People’s Militia, Ivan Filiponenko. “The observers from the special mission identified 34 anti-tank mines installed across the highway leading to the settlement of Shastie, located in the zone of responsibility of the 46th brigade of the Ukrainian army” — he explained. “Such actions of the Ukrainian troops indicate their unwillingness to contribute to the peace process. Such actions are aimed to disrupt the peace initiatives in Minsk, taken in order to resolve the armed conflict in Donbass» — the official from the press service concluded.

On 16th of October, at 06:20, the Ukrainian troops shelled the village of Staromikhaylovka. They used 82-mm mortars, BMP-2 weaponry, heavy machine guns and small arms. As a result of the shelling — the power line was damaged. Part of the village was cut off from the grid. Local houses were damaged as well. Fortunately, there were no victims. According to the updated data — as a result of the evening shelling of the village of Aleksandrovka, the windows and the roof of the school on the Lenin street, house 171, were damaged. Other buildings at the Kirov and Shevchenko streets were damaged as well. The operational group of the Representation of the DPR in the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination, which participates in the negotiation process, visited the area of the incident, and spoke with the local residents. The group recorded the consequences of the shelling.

As a result of shelling of the village of Kominternovo by the Ukrainian troops — the local power line was damaged. The whole village was cut off from the grid. The power is currently restored. As a result of the shelling, the building at the 67 Victory Street was damaged as well.
