The US military exercises in the eastern Syria

1 The EU

«The ban on the entry of Russian citizens into Estonia starts on 19th of September. The same decision was made by Lithuania, Latvia and Poland» — the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Urmas Reinsalu, stated during a government press conference in Tallinn. He urged the Russian citizens to not come to Estonia with Schengen visas. Vilnius, Riga, and Tallinn have already reached an agreement to restrict the entry of Russians through the borders of Russia and Belarus. The ministry added that exemptions can be made for the truck drivers, diplomats, and people crossing the border for humanitarian and family reasons.

2 Syria

The occupational US forces in Syria, together with the Kurds from the ’Syrian Democratic Forces’, began military training in eastern Syria — the ’Kurdistan 24’ reported on 8th of September while citing a statement from the Syrian Democratic Forces. The training takes place near the city of Derik, located at the junction of borders of Syria, Iraq, and Turkey. According to the official statement — the goal of the military training is to increase the combat capability of the troops, involved in the operations against the ISIS. The journalists added however that the USA fears an increase of attacks by the pro-Iranian forces that are attacking the US military bases in the provinces of Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor.

3 Ukraine

The town of Energodar in the Zaporozhye region is under heavy fire of the Ukrainian artillery — a member of the main council of the regional military-civilian administration, Vladimir Rogov, reported. There are no reports about the victims yet — the authorities are collecting the information about the possible casualties and destruction. Vladimir Rogov added that the Ukrainian forces shelled a checkpoint in the town of Vasilevsk, in the Zaporozhye region. About 50 civilians, en-route to the liberated territory, were present at the checkpoint at that moment.

4 Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that hundreds of Ukrainian servicemen were eliminated at the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog area. The losses forced the Ukrainian forces to not conduct any offensive actions. Several Ukrainian ammo depots were destroyed as well. The official representative of the ministry, Igor Konashenkov, reported the following: «Due to the heavy Ukrainian casualties in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog area, which were the backbone of their strike group — the Ukrainian troops didn’t carry out any offensive actions. The Russian air forces, rocket forces, and artillery forces continue to deliver precision strikes against the Ukrainian forces in that area. The following targets were hit: the command posts of the 63rd Ukrainian Mechanized Brigade, located near the town of Bereznegovatoe, in the Nicolaev region, as well as servicemen and vehicles of the 46th Ukrainian Air-mobile, 57th Motorized Infantry, and 28th Mechanized Brigade, located near the towns of Sukhoi Stavok, Petrovskoe, and Plotnitskoe, in the Kherson region, as well as the villages of Murahovka and Ternovye Pody, in the Nikolaev region.

5 Ukraine

The Russian and the DPR forces are expanding the foothold near the village of Peski for the future encirclement of the town of Avdevka. The town is being controlled by the Ukrainian forces that are attacking the city of Donetsk and the town of Makeevka from their positions. «The base near the village of Peski is being built with a plan to move to the villages of Pervomayskoye and Opitnoe, and then to the village of Tonenkoye» — the official representative of the People’s Militia of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, stated on-air of the ’Channel One’. According to him — there are battles for the town of Soledar from the north-eastern side of the town of Artemovsk. «The liberation of the residential areas is extremely difficult» — Eduard Basurin added, and reminded about the liberation of the village of Kodema, which the Ukrainian forces have been defending since July, and then tried to counter-attack more than once.
