The USA will keep their sanctions against North Korea until Pyongyang takes serious steps of denuclearization — Donald Trump announced before his meeting with the leader of the DPRK. “As you might know, the sanctions remain in full force. I didn’t cancel the sanctions. I would gladly, if I could. But in order to do that — something significant must be done by the other side” — said Donald Trump. He reminded that on February 27th and 28th, his second meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will take place in Hanoi. He expressed his hopes for serious results

Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko announced, during a debate in the UN General Assembly, that a full-scale war with Russia is no longer unrealistic. According to him — the total militia numbers in Donbass is about 35,000 people. In addition, there are, allegedly, 2,000 servicemen of the Russian regular armed forces in the region. Petro Poroshenko also announced that more than 87,000 of Russian troops were allegedly deployed at the Russian-Ukrainian border. “The military experts concluded that the troops, located on the Russian-Ukrainian border, are a tactical offensive strike group. Those troops have nothing to do with the defense. They are intended for a military strike. The Kremlin is preparing for it. Therefore, a further escalation to the level of a full-scale war isn’t unrealistic” — said the Ukrainian president

The Law on the Amendments to the Ukrainian Constitution — namely on the Ukrainian course to the EU and NATO — signed by the Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko on 19th of February — entered into force — TASS reports. According to the law — the Constitution now underlines the wording about «the European identity of the Ukrainian people, and the irreversibility of the European and Euro-Atlantic course of Ukraine». The article 102 of the “Main Law” changes the presidential powers. The president becomes «the guarantor of the implementation of the strategic course of the state on the acquisition of the full membership in the EU and NATO». The parliament, in accordance with the law, is authorized to determine the domestic and foreign policy, and the strategic course of the acquirement of the EU and NATO membership, and the government ensures the implementation of this course.

The Indian ‘Center for the Military Airworthiness and Certification’ issued the final authorization on the usage of ‘Tejas’ supersonic fighters, developed in India, to the country’s Air Forces — RIA NEWS reports while referring NDTV. The Tejas multipurpose single-engine supersonic fighter was designed by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, and the Indian Ministry of Defense on 60%. The development of Tejas fighters lasted for more than 30 years. It is assumed that the Tejas fighters will replace the Russian MiG-21 fighters in the Indian Air Force.

The US government plans to use the territory of the Caribbean countries to overthrow the government of Venezuela — the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Wednesday — TASS reports. «Venezuela has concerns because of the strong evidence that the US are using the territory of some Caribbean countries to plan and organize illegal and terrorist operations as part of their strategy to overthrow the legitimate Venezuelan authorities, and bring a puppet government to the power through direct intervention in Venezuela» — the foreign ministry stated.

The Russian parliament passed a bill that increases the term of imprisonment for the leaders of organized criminal groups — TASS reports. On 14th of February, the Russian President Vladimir Putin gave to the Russian parliament a draft law on the introduction of a criminal responsibility for the occupation of the »highest positions in the criminal hierarchy». The draft law provides punishment for the creation or management of a criminal group.
