Trump approved the US military mission in Syria

Donald Trump approved the expansion of the US military mission, aimed at the safety of the oil fields all over the eastern Syria — the »Associated Press» reports while citing their sources. According to the plan — at least 800 US troops will remain in Syria. This decision raises a number of “difficult legal issues”, such as: will the US military be able to attack the Syrian, Russian, or other forces if there is a threat to the oil fields. Earlier, the Turkish news agency »Anadolu» reported that the US began the construction of two new military bases in the province of Deir ez-Zor, where the oil fields are located, despite the statement made by Donald Trump about the withdrawal of the US troops from Syria.

15 people were killed and 4 were injured during an armed attack on a checkpoint in south of Thailand, in the Yala province — the local mass media reports. According to the police, the attack was carried out by the local separatists. It became one of the largest in the recent years. After the attack, explosives were used and nails were scattered on the roadway in order to slow down the pursuers.

Clashes between the opposition supporters, and the supporters of the Bolivian president Evo Morales took place after the protesters tried to approach the Ministry of Labor in the capital of Bolivia, La Paz, and attach their appeal, addressed for the president to resign, at the building itself — the »El Deber» newspaper reports. The eyewitnesses said that there were sounds of explosions on the streets. The participants of the clashes attacked each other with sticks and stones. As the result — at least one person was injured.

4. Tajikistan

The National Security Committee of Tajikistan reported that the people that attacked the border post on the Tajik-Uzbek border were ISIS terrorists. They entered the country from Afghanistan. According to the detainees — they planned to carry out terrorist attacks, aimed to destabilize the situation in the country. The attack on the border post on the Tajik-Uzbek border was carried out on Wednesday night, by a group of 20 men. As a result, 15 criminals were killed, another 5 were captured. 2 Tajik security forces servicemen were killed.
