1 Turkey — Syria

The Turkish Ministry of National Defense reported about a missile attack on the Kilis province from the Syrian side. «The missiles, launched from Syria, fell on empty lands in Kilis» — the Turkish Defense Ministry stated on Twitter. It was noted that no-one was injured as a result of the attack. Russia was reportedly notified about the attack as well. The Turkish army opened fire on the launch site of the missiles. The Turkish Defense Ministry reported that the Turkish troops, stationed in the region, were notified about the attack, and they are monitoring the situation.

An another spokesman of the Taliban’s Qatari political office, Mohammad Sohail Shahin, stated that the Taliban are in consultations on the participation in the inter-Afghan talks, planned in Istanbul, in April.

4 Myanmar

8 protesters were killed in a military crackdown in the city of Aungban, in central Myanmar, ’The Myanmar Now’ news agency reported. The troops reportedly opened fire on protesters who opposed the military government in the country. 7 people were killed on the spot, 1 person died from wounds in the hospital.

5 Central African Republic

The governmental forces of the Central African Republic, with the support of international allies, have regained the control over the city of Nanga Bogila, the local mass media reported. The fighting for the city with the use of heavy weaponry began on 17th of March. The troops, assisted by the international allies, defeated and expelled the rebel forces from the ’’Coalition of Patriots for Change’’ movement, and expelled them from the city. The purpose of the military operation was to restore the control over the strategically important road that connects the country with the seaports of Cameroon and Chad.

The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that there could be no debate between the presidents of Russia and the USA — Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden. Vladimir Putin suggested to resume the dialogue between the heads of the two states. He recently suggested to Joe Biden to hold an open online and honest dialogue on Friday or Monday. Vladimir Putin explained that it would be interesting for the people of Russia, the USA, and for many other countries. The White House has yet to accept the proposal to organize such a dialogue. The White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki stated that Joe Biden will be on a working trip to Georgia on Friday. His schedule won’t allow for a dialogue with Putin on that day. In response, Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow sees the absence of a clear response from Washington as a refusal. «We made a request. There is either an answer, or no answer.
