Ukraine strikes at the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol || Спецвыпуск 31.07.2022

This is a special program for the ANNA NEWS. I am Constantine Reztsov, and today’s special is about how Ukraine attacked the HQ of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, and how the Norwegian Foreign Ministry commented on the confession of their diplomat of her hatred to the Russians.

On the morning of 31st of July, a Ukrainian UAV attacked the HQ of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. The UAV crashed in the courtyard of the building. No-one died, but 5 people — the HQ’s employees — were wounded. The governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, reported about the event.

The Russian Federal Security Service is working at the scene of the event. All holiday events, dedicated to the Navy Day, have been canceled in Sevastopol. The city officials are asking the residents to remain calm and, if possible, stay in their homes.

At the moment it is unknown what type of a UAV attacked the HQ building. As the details emerge — it will become clear if the UAV came from the Ukrainian-controlled territory, or if it was launched from a closer distance.

Ukraine has been attacking Russia for a long time by now. Usually the Ukrainian forces attack the Belgorod, Bryansk or Kursk regions. UAVs, artillery and mortars are being used. The long-range US-made MLRS HIMARS, recently sent to Ukraine, have significantly increased the ability of the Ukrainian forces to attack the Russian territory.

The recent incident with the rudeness of an employee of the Norwegian consulate, Elisabeth Ellingsen, in a hotel in the Russian city of Murmansk was commented by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry. The Ministry called the statement of their employee about the Russian people during her conversation with the hotel administration to be ’’not complementary’’. The statement was made by the spokeswoman for the Norwegian Foreign Ministry, Tuva Raanes Bogsnes.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs deeply regrets this incident. The expressed feelings in no way reflect the Norwegian politics or the attitude of Norwegians towards Russia and the Russian people. The ministry is already working on the incident via the proper channels» — the TASS quoted Tuva Raanes Bogsnes.

Recently, the representative of the Norwegian diplomatic mission in Russia made a commotion in one of the hotels in Murmansk during her check-in. She attacked the hotel staff for offering her to wait for a bit. Then she confessed her hatred of the Russians.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated their official position. The official spokeswoman of the ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the Norwegian diplomat’s actions an «act of hatred». Russia is working on a response to her actions.
