Ukrainian troops and nationalists had a firefight

10 nationalists of the »Right Sector» organization were spotted in the village of Gnutovo — they arrived to carry out provocations in order to obstruct the attempts of the Kiev authorities to appear in a positive light before the world community during the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Germany in Berlin. This was reported by the DPR People’s Militia Department. “According to the information from the local residents, there was a gunfight between the arrived nationalists and the Ukrainian military personnel of the 8th battalion of the 10th brigade during the night. As a result of the firefight — one brigade serviceman was killed, two were injured. According to the preliminary information — the conflict was caused by the refusal of the Ukrainian military to allow the nationalists to use their positions to carry out provocative shelling of the territory of the DPR. The Ukrainian military tried to justify their refusal by the order from the HQ on a strict observance of the ceasefire” — the DPR People’s Militia explained.

On 30th of May, the Ukrainian troops opened fire on the residential sector of the village of Yasnoe from the village of Novotroitskoe. The shelling started at 18:20, by local time. 120mm mortars and weaponry of BMP-1 were used in the shelling. 6 residential buildings were damaged. A civilian car was damaged as well. There were no casualties among the civilians.

As a result of the Ukrainian military aggression in the DPR, 91 children were killed, 261 were injured during the conflict. “The 4th of June is the International Day of Innocent Children — Victims of Aggression. This date reminds us that such crimes can’t go unpunished. The DPR People’s Militia Department reported that the 128th Ukrainian brigade carried out sniper fire on the CCTV cameras of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, placed in the area of the ‘Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka’ military withdrawal site. It was specified that a group of 3 Ukrainian servicemen fired at the cameras.

“The Ukrainian troops have installed more than 70 anti-tank mines in the forest plantation and near the highway, close to the village of Popasnaya” — said Yakov Osadchy, an official representative of the LPR People’s Militia. He underlined that the installation of the minefields wasn’t indicated by the landmine signs. “These minefields pose a threat to the life and health of the local population and to the staff of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission. Once again, we urge the civilians, living in the territory, temporarily controlled by Ukraine, to report the presence of landmines to the representatives of the OSCE and the UN missions, as well as to the hotline of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the LPR” — Yakov Osadchy concluded.

The Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Reznikov suggested that the UK and the USA should organize negotiations on the situation in Donbass in the «Budapest format», without the Russian participation. He wrote this suggestion in an article, published on the website of the Atlantic Council, a research center operating under the NATO flag. According to Alexei Reznikov — the negotiations should be held in this exact format since Russia, allegedly, “violated” the Budapest memorandum and “attacked” Ukraine.
