US Delegation in Donbass
The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia is ready to resume the process of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement in accordance with the statement from the OSCE Minsk Group on 13th of April. He added that «Azerbaijan is trying to create an impression that Armenia is against the peace agreement». He reminded that «the basis of the Karabakh war are 3 principles, well-known to the parties: self-determination of peoples, exclusion of the use of force or a threat of force, and the territorial integrity». Pashinyan called on the CSTO members and the OSCE Minsk Group to pay attention to the casualties on the border with Azerbaijan. He stated that over the past 2 months, there have been 2 casualties in Armenia on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
02 Azerbaijan
New modular-type military units will be created in Aghdam region — the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported. Aghdam region came under control of Baku after the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Ministry reported in May that after the end of hostilities in the territories in Karabakh, which came under control of Azerbaijan, 20 modular and container type military units will be formed. It was reported that at the beginning of June — 2 new military units were opened in Aghdam.
03 Syria
The deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, announced that the terrorists in eastern Syria began to actively attack the facilities of the US-led coalition. It was noted that in the past week, the coalition facilities located beyond the Euphrates river were under fire 4 times. On 11th of July the terrorists fired from MLRS at the coalition facilities on the Konoko and Al-Omar oil and gas fields. Vadim Kulit noted that the activities of the radical groups have intensified on the territory of Syria, controlled by the coalition.
04 Syria
Andrei Dudkin, a representative of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, stated that the refugees from the village of Zara in Hama province, which was destroyed by terrorists in 2016, are returning to their homes from the refugee camp in the village of Homs. It was noted that the refugee camp has been disbanded, and 152 people who have lived in the refugee camp since 2016, will return to their homes. The military carried out a humanitarian action, and distributed food packages to the villagers.
The Pentagon spokesman John Kirby stated that the USA will provide Afghanistan with 37 helicopters ’’Black hawk’’, and the USA will help with the repair of Mi-17 helicopters, in order to enhance the ability of Afghanistan to fight the Taliban. John Kirby noted that in this way, Washington will more than double the helicopter fleet of the country.
