Violation of the ceasefire in Donbass

«On 27th of August the Ukrainian troops twice violated the additional measures, taken to ensure the ceasefire» — said Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People’s Militia of the LPR, during a briefing. The servicemen from the 25th Ukrainian brigade used a UAV to check the camouflage of their own positions near the village of «Shastie». They also tried to conduct reconnaissance. The troops from the 30th brigade carried out engineering work on their positions near the village of Zolotoe-4.

Starting from 27th of August, 36 violations of the additional measures, taken to enhance and control the ceasefire, which was signed during the meeting of the Contact Group, have been recorded on the contact line. 11 times the Ukrainian troops opened fire. 3 times they used UAVs. 22 times they carried out engineering work, in order to fortify their positions. As a result of the violations by the Ukrainian military — 1 defender of the Donbass Republics died under a sniper fire. On 31st of July, the Ukrainian troops from the 2nd battalion of the 30th brigade dropped grenades from a drone 3 times at the positions of the Donbass militiamen near the village of Kalinovo-Borshchevate. As a result — 2 militiamen were wounded.

The vehicles of the 98th convoy of the Russian Emergency Ministry, loaded with the humanitarian aid for the residents of Donbass, have arrived in the city of Lugansk. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LPR reported that 4 vehicles of the Russian Emergency Ministry delivered a cargo of medicines to Lugansk.

The employees of the engineering and sapper units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LPR defused 3 anti-tank mines and a rocket from an MLRS ‘Smerch’. The explosive items were found by the residents of the village of Novokievka, in the Krasnodon region, near their own houses — the ministry’s press service reported. “All the explosive items were taken away, and delivered to the place of the authorized destruction” — the press service concluded.

The memorial to Mikhail Tolstykh — call sign «Givi» — a hero of the DPR, was opened on 25th of August, in the city of Donetsk. The bust of the famous commander of the ‘Somalia’ battalion was installed in the park of the Lenin’s Komsomol. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the Republic, Denis Pushilin, the members of the government, the deputies, and the relatives, friends and colleagues of Mikhail Tolstykh. “He could stand when the shells were flying over him, and make decisions that always led to victories. Our descendants will come here, to this alley, to honor the memory of the real heroes of Donbass who gave their lives for the freedom and independence” — said the head of the DPR.
