A terrorist ammo cache was found in Idlib
1 Syria
The Syrian military discovered a large terrorist stash of foreign-made ammo and improvised explosive devices in the province of Idlib, near the village of Khan es Sebil. Dozens of hand grenades, US-made anti-personnel mines, detonators, improvised explosive devices, and suicide belts were discovered. The stash was destroyed by a controlled explosion. Currently the Syrian sappers, who were trained by their Russian and other colleagues, are clearing a village located near the main Syrian highway M-5. The highway connects Damascus and Aleppo.
2 Syria.
The Turkish national defense minister, Hulusi Akar, stated that the Russian and Turkish military conducted the 3rd joint patrol in the Syrian province of Idlib. The Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties reported that the patrol of the M-4 highway section in the Idlib de-escalation zone that connects the cities of Aleppo and Latakia was controlled by the Russian military UAVs. “Two BTR-80s and a Tiger armored car were involved in the joint patrol from the Russian side” — the Center added. The interaction between the parties was carried out via the Joint Coordination Center.
3. Afghanistan
The Taliban will continue their fight against the official Kabul until the captured Taliban fighters are released in accordance with the terms of the peace agreement between the US and the Taliban. This was stated by Mohammad Sohail Shahin, the official representative of the Qatari political office of the Taliban movement — his words were quoted by the TASS news agency. ‘The dialogue will begin once 5,000 Taliban prisoners are released’ — the spokesman added.
4 Afghanistan
The Afghan TV channel ‘Ariana News’ reported that the Afghan authorities intend to release 100 detained Taliban fighters from their prisons. 15 field commanders of the Taliban movement, the release of which was insisted upon by the representatives of the Taliban, won’t be freed. It was reported that the first group of the radicals will be released from a prison located in the city of Bagram.
5 Iran
The Iranian oil minister, Bijan Namdar Zangane, in his letter to the chairman of the OPEC conference, the Algerian oil minister Mohammed Arkab, expressed his opinion that the negotiations of OPEC+ countries, aimed to reduce the oil production, may be futile since the OPEC members have yet to agree on the terms of the deal. “Iran opposes the calling of a meeting without clarifying a number of issues first” — the letter concluded. The Iranian oil minister also expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that the meeting was organized by the initiative of «some OPEC members, as a result of which the entire oil market came to such state». The OPEC+ negotiations will be held on 9th of April, as a video conference. An emergency meeting of the G20 energy ministers is planned for 10th of April.
6. Armenia — Russia
The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported the arrival of the Russian military specialists to their country. They will assist their Armenian colleagues in the fight against the new coronavirus. It was reported that the Russian specialists are equipped with a mobile laboratory, needed to study the disease caused by the coronavirus. “It will allow to conduct appropriate preventive measures among the Armenian Forces, and at the 102nd Russian military base” — the Armenian defense department specified.
