In the past two days, the Libyan National Army, commanded by the Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, intensified their air strikes on the Tripoli suburbs — the Associated Press reports while citing Libyan officials. According to the Associated Press — the Libyan National Army attacked the ‘Navazi’ militant group, 7 kilometers from Tripoli. The security forces of Afghanistan have freed 53 people from a Taliban prison — ‘Khaama Press’ reports with a reference to a representative of the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan. According to the ministry, the prisoners were freed from the prison during an operation in the province of Oruzgan, in the central part of Afghanistan. The representative, Nasrat Rahim, reported that during the operation at least 8 terrorists were killed. He added that among the freed people were 4 soldiers, and 4 policemen. The National Defense and Security Forces of Afghanistan are conducting joint counter-terrorism operations all over the country.

The Russian Foreign Ministry accused the US on an attempt of stopping of the Russian participation in the work of the UN. This statement was made after Washington failed to issue an entry visa to a Russian chemical expert, Dmitry Poklonsky. He was supposed to partake in a briefing on the report of the mission that investigates the use of the chemical weapons in the Syrian city of Douma in April of 2018. The Russian Ministry of Defense finished the final testing of their newest AA missile system S-500 ‘Prometheus’. The radar complex and the multi-functional radar station of the S-500 system passed the ground tests — «Izvestia» newspaper reported with a reference to their sources in the Russian Ministry of Defense. The elements of the S-500 were tested in close-to-real conditions. Thus the S-500 AA missile system received the green light for the mass production. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the S-500 system can deal with UAVs and even satellites. The radius of the S-500 is 600 kilometers. The S-500 can engage up to 10 ballistic supersonic or hypersonic targets at once.
