A road accident occurred in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast. A bus collided with a freight train on the Far Eastern Railway. The bus was hit mid-crossing the railroad disregarding the prohibiting traffic light signal. The train driver and passengers are intact; the bus driver was hospitalized with a fracture.

A new fighters squadron of the new generation Su-30SM (Flanker-C) will be organized in the Kursk region of the Western Military District in 2018. «The next batch of aircraft has already been accepted at the manufacturing plant by the engineering and technical personnel of the military unit and prepared for the flight with a length of more than five thousand kilometers,» the WMD press service stated. In accordance with the rearmament plan, the Su-30SM should replace the MiG-29SMT (Fulcrum) fighters.

During the past day the AFU units violated the ceasefire regime 25 times in the DPR, firing 171 ammunition on the territory of the Republic. 15 districts of the Republic were subjected to shelling. The fire was delivered by means of mortars of various caliber, grenade launchers and small arms.

The Ministry of State Security of the DPR confirmed the assistance of the LPR in the operation for elimination of the criminal grouping in Lugansk. It officially confirmed the joint operation with the LPR special services for neutralization and elimination of the criminal subversive group that operated under the control of the special forces of military intelligence of Ukraine in Lugansk. As a result of joint counterintelligence and anti-diversion measures by the MSS and MIA, the criminal subversive group controlled by Kiev was suppressed. The operational-search activities to document the criminal acts of detainees, as well as to identify their accomplices are now in process in Lugansk.

The Iraqi Armed Forces have begun an operation to clean up the last territories of ISIS in the west of the country, where militants are holding sparsely populated areas near the Syrian border. According to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, security forces and militia groups have begun sweeping the terrain in order to eliminate the deserted roadblocks and the shelters of terrorists. Government troops are advancing in the Anbar provinces to the north of the cities of Abu Kemal and Rawa, in Saladdin to the west of Baiji and in the province of Nineveh to the south of the city of al-Tal.

The Syrian government troops continue the operation for the liberation of the Euphrates valley from the ISIS militants. Today detachments of the elite unit «Tiger Force» knocked the jihadists from the city of al-Qurayya in the province of Deir ez Zor, which is of strategic importance as it controls the southern approaches to Meijadin liberated in October. In addition, the settlements of Subaiha, Dablan, Gariba to the south of Al-Asharah, Jadla, Safsaf, Adjarja, the Vardi deposit and the ruins of Dura-Europos west of Salihia were also recaptured by the government troops.
