Knowing that the OSCE SMM Chief to Ukraine Ertuğrul Apakan is present on the territory of the Republic with a working visit, there were registered five occasions of ceasefire violations on the part of Ukrainian military. Besides, all shellings were provocative and conducted from the areas of essential facilities.

Thus, yesterday at 09:30 p.m. Ukrainian provocateurs conducted fire with automatic grenade launchers, anti-tank grenade launchers and a weapon system from the area of location of a gas-distributing plant of high pressure.

When there was no backfire, they (Ukrainian military) repeated their provocation at 10:30 p.m. applying 82mm mortars.

Positions of our units underwent shelling in the vicinities of the localities of LOGVINOVO, SMELOYE, NIZHNEYE LOZOVOYE and Zheltoye. While shellings, there were applied prohibited mortars of 120mm and 82mm caliber, IFVs, grenade launchers of various kinds and small arms.

Ukrainian command keeps violating conditions of location of military hardware along the contact line envisaged by the Minsk agreements and also uses the ceasefire regime to enhance the military potential of its units in the so-called “ATO” zone.

It was revealed that in the responsibility zone of the 24th mechanized brigade in the vicinity of the locality of NOVOZVANOVKA on the positions of the temporary fortified place from among the 3rd battalion there had arrived three armored vehicles and two cargo vehicles with ammunition and equipment.

Apart from it, in the vicinity of POPASNAYA locality we detected arrival of an intelligence unit equipped with new optics of foreign manufacture. Presumably, a task of this unit is to carry out provocative actions against the Republic and, it might be, against OSCE Mission observers as well so that they will be able to accuse the LPR People’s Militia units of this next.

The LPR People’s Militia units, in their turn, incessantly stay on station, hold events devoted to maintaining high-degree alert and keep preparing for the Victory Parade on May 9.

We don’t react to provocations on the part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fully comply with the ceasefire regime imposed since April 1.
