Pushilin: The line of defense is being built in the Kremennaya area
1 Ukraine The authorities of the city of Energodar reported that after the recent shelling — the electricity went out. «An explosion was recorded in the area of the switchgear, located at the thermal power plant. After that — the power went out all over Energodar and nearby settlements» — the city administration reported on their Telegram channel. The local utility services are reconnecting the power grid to the emergency lines in order to restore the power — the RIA NEWS reported with a reference to the local authorities.
2 Donbass The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated that a defensive line is being built near the village of Kremennaya. The Ukrainian troops are testing the frontline daily, but the frontline is still intact. He added that reinforcements are arriving, and with new reserves, there is a chance to begin the liberation of the territories. Meanwhile, in the Kherson region, there are no breakthroughs, and there won’t be any — the authorities of the region stated. Recently the Ukrainian forces fired rockets at the Rubezhnoe-Kremennaya road junction — the sources of the «Wargonzo» news agency from the Donbass frontline reported. ’’NATO weapons were used during the attack. There are dead and wounded among our fighters. There were 6 missiles in total. The missiles had striking elements that pierced the iron poles by the road. 3 Donbass The DPR HQ reported that the settlements of Otradovka and Veselaya Dolina were liberated. «On 7th of October, the DPR and the LPR forces, supported by the Russian forces, liberated the villages of Otradovka, Veselaya Dolina, and Zaitsevo, in the DPR» — the HQ reported on their Telegram channel. The settlements are located 10 kilometers from the town of Artemovsk, not far from the village of Zaitsevo, from which the Ukrainian troops were driven out recently — the RIA NEWS reported. Earlier, Denis Pushilin stated that the Ukrainian troops had transferred their reserves from the Artyomovsky area to Kupyanskoye, thus giving the Russian troops the opportunity to advance.
4 Russia The governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, stated that on 7th of October an explosion took place at the Shaikovka military airfield, near the regional center. «A UAV that presumably came from the border has crashed» — he stated on his Telegram channel. He clarified that no-one was injured in the attack. The UAV was shot down during the approach to the military airfield. The infrastructure of the airfield wasn’t seriously damaged. An investigation team has arrived at the scene of the incident to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Vladislav Shapsha noted that the explosion took place at the Shaikovka airfield, 270 km from Moscow.
5 Belarus The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported in their Telegram channel that Belarus is able, if necessary, call up to 500,000 of conscripts. When asked about the scale of the interaction with the military reserve, the head of the Belarusian ministry of defense, Viktor Hrenin, noted that this is a planned work for the military enlistment offices and the officials in military units. He underlined that the mobilization activities with their participation are permanent — the RIA NEWS reported. «The Defense Department, if necessary, can call on 500,000 of conscripts from the trained reserve» — the ministry stated. Viktor Hrenin clarified that they won’t create a contract army, since 60% of the servicemen are already contract soldiers.
6 Russia — Turkey The presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, held negotiations via a telephone — the office of Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated — the RIA NEWS reported. «During the negotiations, the issues of the development of Russian-Turkish relations were considered. The situation in Ukraine was mentioned as well» — end of quote. Erdogan stated that Ankara will do everything possible to find a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis, for the sake of everyone.
