The DPR are ready to fulfill the conditions of the ceasefire

«The People’s Militia of the DPR is ready to fulfill the requirements of the ceasefire agreements» — the People’s Militia Department announced. On Wednesday, the Foreign Minister of the DPR, Natalia Nikonorova, announced the end of an another round of negotiations on Donbass in the city of Minsk. The contact group has confirmed their commitment to the ceasefire in the region. The representative of the republic in the subgroup on the security affairs added that there is no need for a new date for the next ceasefire — both sides should simply fulfill the agreements that are reached by now.

On 14th of December, 2019, at about 10 a.m., the Ukrainian troops opened focused fire at the residential sector of the village of Shirokaya Balka, near the town of Gorlovka. None of the locals were injured.

«Nearly 3800 houses and social facilities were damaged by the Ukrainian shelling in the town of Gorlovka since the start of the conflict in Donbass” — said Ivan Prikhodko, the mayor of Gorlovka. He added that 159 houses were repaired in 2019. The town of Gorlovka is located in the north of the DPR. The town is one among the most affected by the Ukrainian shelling.

“Ukraine sabotaged the process of the preparation for the exchange of PoWs with the DPR and the LPR. The process was agreed upon during the meeting of the ‘Norman Four’” — said the representative of the DPR in the humanitarian subgroup, the Ombudsman of the Republic, Daria Morozova after the last round of negotiations on the peaceful settlement of the Donbass conflict. “It is likely that people won’t be able to celebrate the New Year holidays with their family and friends due to the inability of the official Kiev to fulfill their obligation» — she concluded.
