The fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh continues
1 Armenia
The informational center of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers reported about large-scale battles in the Hadrut sector. «Large-scale battles in the Hadrut sector continue. The enemy is making an attempt to seize the city after concentrating a large number of forces in that direction» — the message stated. The official representative of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, reported on Facebook that the Defense Army of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is in full control of the situation. «The attacks of the Azerbaijani forces that violate the ceasefire are being successfully suppressed along the entire front line. An operation is underway to find and destroy a reconnaissance and sabotage group in the Hadrut area» — the message concluded.
2 Azerbaijan
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated during an interview to the Turkish TV channel »Haber Global» that the agreements on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, which were reached in Moscow, fully meet the interests of Azerbaijan. According to Aliyev — «All the opportunities for the transition from the military stage to the political and diplomatic stage of the Karabakh conflict settlement exist right now». He added that «Turkey must play an active role in the political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict». Ilham Aliyev also announced the capture of a number of settlements in Karabakh by the Azerbaijani army. «Several settlements are under our complete control. We haven’t sent the troops in the settlements yet, given that there is no need for that from a military point of view. But after some while we will announce it» — he concluded.
3 Armenia
The main adviser of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the ex-Minister of Defense of Armenia Lieutenant-General Vagharshak Harutyunyan, stated that the Azerbaijani authorities are disrupting the Russian mediation mission in the Nagorno-Karabakh under the pressure from Turkey. «Fierce battles are currently taking place in Artsakh, despite the agreement on a ceasefire for the humanitarian purposes, which was adopted in Moscow with Russian help. This means that Ankara is putting pressure on the Azerbaijani authorities in every possible way, which forces them to disrupt the mediation mission of Russia in order to increase the role of Turkey in the settlement of the conflict» — the adviser concluded.
4 Russia
During a joint press conference with the Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that the resumption of the negotiation process between the parties of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh can’t be delayed. «We understand that a proper process is needed. But we also consider it wrong to delay the resumption of the political negotiation process as well» — Lavrov explained and added that Russia expects that the agreements, adopted after the negotiations between the foreign ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, will be strictly implemented by both sides.
5 Azerbaijan
The head of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, Vagif Dargahli, denied the Armenian reports about an Azerbaijani Su-25 attack aircraft that was, allegedly, shot down in Nagorno-Karabakh. «The combat aviation of Azerbaijan is not being used. We fully adhere to the requirements of the humanitarian truce» — Vagif Dargahli stated. Earlier, the press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Shushan Stepanyan, reported on Facebook that the air defense forces of the Artsakh Defense Army destroyed a Su-25 attack aircraft of the Azerbaijani Air Force at the north-eastern part of the frontline.
6 Kyrgyzstan
The press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported that Sooronbai Jeenbekov declared a state of emergency in Bishkek for the second time. «The President of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a decree on a state of emergency on the territory of the city of Bishkek» — the message stated. The decision was made by the president due to the fact that the parliament didn’t consider the issue of the previously introduced state of emergency in the capital within 3 days.
