The OSCE recorded shelling near the troop withdrawal sites in Donbass

“The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, located in Ukraine, reported about a shelling in a five-kilometer zone near the military withdrawal area, near the villages of Petrovskoye and Zolotoe” — said Alexander Lukashevich, the Russian Permanent Representative to the OSCE. The special mission noticed 6 Ukrainian ‘2C7 Peony’ heavy self-propelled howitzers at a railway station in Donetsk region, which “clearly does not contribute to the de-escalation”. “Ukraine continues to send more military equipment by railroad” — Lukashevich added. He noted that in order to reduce the tensions — it is necessary to complete the full demilitarization of the zones of the troop withdrawal, within the deadlines set by the Minsk Contact Group. As well as to intensify the work on the creation of new such zones.

On 17th of November, the Ukrainian troops carried out another shelling of the village of Staromikhaylovka. They used weaponry of BMP-1, BMP-2, heavy machine guns and small arms. As a result of the shelling — a number of houses at the Ivan Marchenko st house 30, Lenin st house 4, Frunze st houses 14 and 34 were damaged. Fortunately no-one was hurt. The settlement of the mine 6/7 was also subjected to a shelling. During that shelling, an outbuilding at the Koneva st 49 was destroyed.

“The early opening of the bridge at the «Stanitsa Luganskaya» checkpoint in Donbass was carried out due to the threat of provocations from the nationalist groups” — an officer of the press service of the LPR People’s Militia Ivan Filonenko told to reporters. On Wednesday, the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced that the bridge near «Stanitsa Luganska» will be opened a few days ahead the planned date. According to the LPR People’s Militia — on Wednesday night, fighters of the Volunteer Ukrainian Corps of the Right Sector, an extremist organization outlawed in Russia, arrived to the Stanitsa Luganska to disrupt the opening of the bridge. On the same day, the Ukrainian president arrived at the contact line near the »Stanitsa Luganskaya» checkpoint, and announced the opening ceremony of the restored bridge in 2-3 days. An hour after his departure, the bridge was opened to the traffic.

On 19th of November, during a mine clearance, the Ukrainian troops opened fire on the village of Petrovskaya from their positions, located directly in the zone of withdrawal of the military forces and assets. Those positions were declared by Ukraine as “empty”, which was recorded by the special monitoring mission in their reports from 13th and 14th of November. It was initially planned to continue the mine clearance in the area of ​​the withdrawal of military forces and assets number 3 «Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka». The mine clearance is currently interrupted. For the security reasons, the representatives of the joint control and coordination center, and the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were forced to stop the mine clearance and leave the area. This was recorded by the Head of the Representation of the DPR in the joint center, which notified the OSCE special monitoring mission patrol at the observation point.
