The Russian Guard prevented an attempt to break through the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region

1 Ukraine

The Russian Guards stopped an assault of Ukrainian tanks in the Kharkov region. An entire Ukrainian armored group was destroyed as a result of a battle — the press service of the Russian Guard reported and added that the Ukrainian forces were trying to break through one of the settlements of the region. They started to shell the positions of the Russian Guard with artillery. At the same time, 8 Ukrainian tanks, together with infantry, moved towards the Russian guards, who were covering the entrance to the settlement. The Russian artillery opened fire. As a result — the Russian Guard destroyed an IFV and most of the saboteurs — the message reported.

2 Ukraine

The Russian forces launched several attacks on the Ukrainian communications. At least 5 railway stations, through which the supply of the Ukrainian forces is being carried out, were hit. On the morning of 25th of April the Russian forces attacked the railway station in the town of Zdolbunov. There were no civilian casualties — the local head of the regional military administration, Vitaliy Koval, reported. The city of Zdolbunov is a key railway junction in the Rovno region. The delivery of weapons and other goods from the Western countries for the Ukrainian military is being constantly carried out via the city. More attacks took place later. In total, 5 railway stations were hit in the center and in the west of Ukraine — the head of the Ukrainian Railways stated. The train traffic was slowed down.

3 Donbass

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated that approximately 400 foreign mercenaries are at the ’Azovstal’ plant in Mariupol, along with the Ukrainian terrorists. «Regarding the total number — our information hasn’t been updated. There are about 400 foreign mercenaries who are stuck in there» — the «Russia 24» quoted his words. He didn’t rule out that the Ukrainian and foreign terrorists would make an another attempt to escape from the surrounded factory. He underlined however that the joint DPR and Russian forces have enough manpower and equipment to stop such attempts.

4 Russia

The Russian anti-air forces shot down 2 Ukrainian UAVs in the Kursk region. There were no casualties among the civilians — the local governor, Roman Starovoit, reported. The «Vesti-Kursk» tv channel reported that their film crew visited the village of Borovskoye, in the Rilsky district. «According to a local resident, she heard a noise during the night. At 6 AM, she and her friend decided to walk across the field behind her house. There she found the wreckage of the Ukrainian drones ’’Bayraktar TB-2» — the tv channel reported. The Ukrainian military sometimes attack the Russian settlements in the Bryansk, Belgorod, and Kursk regions, located near the border with Ukraine.

5 Russia

Over the past night, oil tanks at the oil depot in the city of Bryansk caught fire. The firefighters and the rescue workers were sent to the depot. There is no information about the victims — the TASS reported. “A message about a fire on the Fokinsky district of Bryansk was received at 2 AM. Firefighters and rescue teams were sent to put out a strong fire. Upon their arrival they have discovered that there was indeed a fire on the territory of the oil depot” — the TASS quoted the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Bryansk region. The government of the Bryansk region reported that the oil tanks are on fire. One of two fires was contained.

6 Ukraine — the USA

The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and the US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, held talks with Vladimir Zelensky during their visit to Ukraine. The parties discussed the enhancement of the anti-Russian policy, and the provision of financial and military help to the Ukrainian nationalistic regime. The negotiations between Austin and Blinken with Vladimir Zelinsky lasted more than 3 hours. Zelensky called the negotiations «productive». According to him, the $3.5 billions of dollars of the military aid, provided by the USA, was the largest contribution to the defense capability of Ukraine. «That action helped to bring the Ukrainian defense capabilities to the next level, which is critical for our defenders» — end of quote. The parties decided on the next sanctions against Moscow.
