The Russian military medics in Stepanakert

1 Syria

The commander of a Russian military police platoon, Lieutenant Alexei Fadeev, reported that the Russian military conducted a patrol in the Hasakah province, in north-east of Syria. It was noted that the patrol route passed from the village of Qamishli to the village of Andivar, and back. The purpose of the patrol was to study the situation in the settlements. The patrol route was about 30 km long. Russian military helicopters Mi-8 and Mi-35 carried out an air cover at extremely low altitudes. They also conducted air reconnaissance of the nearby areas. The patrol involved over 30 servicemen, and about 5 vehicles of the Russian military police, such as APCs ’’BTR-80’’, and armored vehicles «Rys».

2 Nagorno-Karabakh

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the special medical detachment from the Eastern Military District began to provide the medical aid to the population of the city of Stepanakert. «During the day, the Russian military medics helped about 40 locals. Medical consultations, examinations and other qualified medical aid was provided by the therapists, surgeons, and other doctors» — the message stated. The Russian anesthesiologists-resuscitators assisted their local colleagues in their work with critical patients in the intensive care unit of the Stepanakert city hospital.

3 Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Press Agency reported while citing the Arab coalition spokesman, Colonel Turki al-Maliki, that on Friday morning, the Saudi Arabian coalition forces destroyed an incoming UAV with a bomb onboard. It was reported that the UAV was launched by the ’Ansar Allah’ rebel movement. The report stated that the targets of the UAV were the civilian targets, and the civilians at the south of kingdom.

4 Azerbaijan-France

The French ambassador to Baku will be called to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry due to the adoption by the French National Assembly a resolution, calling on the French government to recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh. The press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated that a loud protest from Azerbaijan will be announced to France. «The adoption of that biased resolution by the lower house of French parliament, following the French Senate, proves that there is a campaign against Azerbaijan» — the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated and added that such decision «harms the mandate of France as a mediator», and also it seriously damages the efforts to ensure peace and security in the region, and globally. On Thursday, the French National Assembly upheld a resolution, passed on 25th of November by the Senate. The resolution contains an appeal to the French authorities to recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh.

5 Armenia

The press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Anna Naghdalyan, stated that the ministry sees a «great importance» in the fact that the French parliament adopted a resolution that calls on the French authorities to recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh. «We see a great importance in such actions of the international community, aimed in favor of a final and just settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship. Namely — the recognition of the status of Artsakh which is based on the right for the self-determination, which has become one of the main requirements to ensure the security of the Armenians of Artsakh» — the Armenian Foreign Ministry stated. «The resolution mentions the need to guarantee the security of population of Artsakh, the facts of sabotaging the peace process by military means by Azerbaijan, and the deployment of the terrorist groups and mercenaries in Nagorno-Karabakh with the Turkish aid» — the statement concluded.

6 The USA

The ’TASS’ news agency reported that both houses of the US Congress agreed on a draft military budget for the fiscal year 2021. The budget provides an increase in the testing of the hypersonic weapons, and the introduction of those technologies within 3 years. The Senate Amendment contains a clause that expresses the position of the Congress on the importance of hypersonic capabilities. «The Minister of Defense is required, if necessary, to increase the number of the flight tests for the development and implementation of the hypersonic technologies» — the TASS quoted a document published on Thursday. The military budget for the fiscal year 2021 should be about $740 billions of dollars. $635.5 billions of dollars will be allocated for the basic needs of the Pentagon. $26.6 billions of dollars will go to the national security programs, via the Department of Energy. $69 billions of dollars were allocated for the overseas operations.
