1 Syria

The Mass Media reports: After the start of the Turkish operation «Source of Peace» in Syria — the US military left 16 military bases and roadblocks in Syria. Currently they have returned to 6 bases. The US military is gaining ground in the north-east of Syria, near the border with Turkey and Iraq, as well as in the oil field areas. Currently the US military is being deployed at 11 bases and checkpoints in Syria. 5 of them are located in Hasek, 4 in Deir Ez-Zor and 2 in Raqqa. The US military is building 2 more checkpoints in the province of Deir Ez-Zor.

2 the USA

On Wednesday the US House of Representatives will debate on the bill on the impeachment of Donald Trump. The debate will last for no more than 6 hours. Such decision was made on Tuesday evening by the committee on the rules, after more than 9 hours of discussion. Donald Trump, in his letter to the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, called the impeachment process »an illegal attempt of a coup”

3 India

On Wednesday, New Delhi authorities banned all the public events and meetings in the north-eastern part of the city. The recent mass protests against the adoption of a new version of the Indian Citizenship Law took place in that area. According to the NDTV — the measures were taken in order to prevent new protests. Increased security measures were taken in other parts of the city as well. Reinforced police teams are on duty at the intersections and the squares.

4 South Korea

The South Korean newspaper «Chunan Ilbo» reports while citing its government sources that in February of 2020, South Korea could take part in the international coalition made to ensure the safety of the navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The decision was made on Tuesday by the administration of the President Mun Jae-In, during a meeting of the National Security Council. South Korea has already notified the US of its participation, and has begun the planning of the deployment of the troops
