The USA are closing the military base in Al-Tanf in Syria

As it become known to ANNA NEWS Agency — Kurdish armed forces are still constructing their fortifications in the north of Syria. The “Syrian Democratic Forces” relocated heavy weaponry and military equipment to the city of Kobani, located in the north-eastern part of the region. They are preparing to stop a possible offensive operation of the Turkish army. Ankara declared a threat to the Turkish national security that comes from the radicals of the «Kurdistan Workers Party» and their allied groups. Turkey also declared that the US forces failed to follow the «Manbij Agreement». According to the agreements, reached after the negotiations between the representatives of the two countries, the United States were supposed to pull the Kurdish troops out from the Manbij area.

US President Donald Trump ordered to pull out a part of the US forces from Afghanistan, Interfax reported while citing the Wall Street Journal. Sources of the Wall Street Journal noted that the US military contingent in Afghanistan is planned to be reduced by about 7,000 servicemen in the coming weeks. Currently there are 14,000 of US troops located in Afghanistan. The Wall Street Journal notes that the decision to reduce the contingent in Afghanistan almost coincided with the announcement of the withdrawal of 2,000 of US troops from Syria.
