Turkey prepares for military operations in Syria

1 Donbass

This morning the Ukrainian troops fired from artillery pieces at the village of Mineralnoye, located near the village of Yasinovataya — the DPR office in the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire reported. “The shelling of the Mineralnoye began at 7 in the morning. The shells came from the village of Avdeevka, captured by Ukraine. Eight 152mm shells were fired. The information about the victims and destructions is being specified. The Ukrainian representatives in the Center use the coordination mechanism to ignore the request for the ceasefire” — the DPR office specified. The Ukrainian troops left the village of Staromaryevka, occupied by them on 26th of October — the first Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, stated on his Telegram channel.

2 Iran

The Afghanistan’s new rulers from the «Taliban» didn’t attend a conference on the political future of their country, held in Tehran, on Thursday. The meeting was personally attended by the foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries: Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The heads of diplomacy of China and Russia participated via a video-link. The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres made a video message. At the beginning of the conference, the Vice President, Mohammed Mohber, called the reason of the current state of affairs in Afghanistan to be the «illegal US interference in the affairs of the country for two decades’’. He added that in the future any foreign interference, especially from the USA, in the internal affairs of Afghanistan should be avoided. The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, called for an end of the US intervention in Afghanistan, and for a greater respect for the decisions of the new government in Kabul. The diplomat called on the neighboring countries to cooperate in order to ensure the stability and peace not only in Afghanistan, but also on their own borders. The participants condemned the terrorism in all forms, including the attacks against ethnic and religious groups, and the recent terrorist attacks on mosques.

3 Italy

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will attend the G20 meeting in Rome on 30th and 31st of October in person. During the summit he will hold talks with the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. She noted that the summit is expected to discuss 3 topics — the world economy and global health, the climate change and environmental protection, and the sustainable development. “In addition to those topics, 2 additional seminars on the support of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the women-led businesses, and the role of the private sector in the fight against the climate change will take place” — she added. On Tuesday, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Vladimir Putin will take part in the G20 summit via a video-link — the TASS reported.

4 Syria

The Turkish army is preparing to conduct two operations in Syria — a source of the RIA NEWS among the Syrian opposition reported. «The troops are on the full alert by an order from Ankara» — the source reported. According to the source, the groups led by Turkey are preparing for two operations simultaneously: in the north-west of Idlib, to support the armed groups, and in the north-east of Syria, against the «Syrian Democratic Forces». When asked when the campaign is expected to start, the source replied that it could happen at any moment. «Most likely — after the meeting of the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan with Joe Biden» — the source concluded.

5 Syria

The residents of the village of Safiya, near the town of Al-Qamishli, went on a protest against the presence of the invaders from the USA and Turkey. They held the state flags of Syria, and posters condemning the illegal presence of the occupying forces of the USA and Turkey in Syria. They shouted slogans against the USA and their mercenaries. The Syrian ’’SANA news’’ agency reported that the Syrian civilians trust the Syrian army as the only body capable of restoring the security and stability by eradicating the terrorism in the region.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin stated that China opposes any military and official contacts between the USA and Taiwan, as well as the interference of the USA in the Taiwanese affairs. Earlier the head of the Taiwan administration, Tsai Ing-wen, confirmed in an interview with the CNN that the American forces are present on the island to train the Taiwanese forces.
