Ukrainian Armed Forces drop incendiary shells on Donbas

The People’s Militia of the DPR shot down a Ukrainian military UAV that was dropping incendiary bombs on the territory of the country. The downed UAV was found. An examination of its flash drive revealed an evidence of the arson. There was also an attempt to set the dry grass on fire with a Molotov cocktail. The Ukrainian troops once again demonstrated their complete disregard for the additional measures, taken to enhance and control the ceasefire.

On 3rd of October, an OSCE long-range UAV spotted 2 Ukrainian tanks near the village of Spornoye. The OSCE also detected the presence of the Ukrainian military equipment in the security zone, including near the populated areas. The following vehicles were found: 1 armored reconnaissance and patrol vehicle near the village of Galitsynovka, 1 APC near the village of Mayorsk, and 1 APC near the village of Novobakhmutovka.

«On 6th of October, 2 Ukrainian servicemen were killed by an explosive device which was kept in a stash, left by the Ukrainian troops who were leaving the zone of the military operation in Donbass as part of their rotation» — said Alexander Mazeykin, an officer of the press service of the People’s Militia Department of the LPR. He added that the sapper group that arrived at the scene found a stash of ammo and weapons, left by the Ukrainian servicemen from the 25th brigade, for the following removal from the operation zone.

According to the OSCE report from 7th of October, the observers recorded the following violations of the additional measures, taken to enhance and control the ceasefire since 27th of July, 2020: a medium-range OSCE drone detected 13 Ukrainian anti-tank mines, planted in 2 rows across the M-0-3 highway, about 3 km to the south-east from the village of Luganskoye. The OSCE also recorded the presence of 1 Ukrainian armored combat vehicle near the village of Berezovoye.

«The Ukrarain troops evacuated an artillery depot in the zone of the so-called ‘operation of the combined forces’ because of the approaching fire» — the official representative of the People’s Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, reported. He added that in order to preserve the lives, health and property of the people living in the territory, controlled by Ukraine — the People’s Militia once again gave security guarantees to the special aviation that is currently extinguishing the fires near the line of contact.

The existing measures, taken to enhance the ceasefire, continue to contribute to the restoration of the civilian infrastructure of the Donbass republics. The employees of the construction organizations continue their work on the layout of the checkpoints with the aid from the People’s Militia, the representatives of the Joint Coordination Center, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LPR, and the OSCE observers.
