1 Switzerland

The Executive Committee of the World Anti-Doping Agency unanimously accepted the recommendation of the organization’s committee to deprive the Russian Anti-Doping Agency of its compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code. For the next 4 years Russia is deprived of the right to host world championships and submit applications for their holding. The Russian athletes won’t be able to perform at the Olympics and world championships under the flag of Russia. The Russian Anti-Doping Agency can challenge WADA’s decision within 21 days.

2 France

The Norman Four summit ended in Paris. The 4-way meeting of the leaders was preceded by the bilateral talks between the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and the French President Emmanuel Macron. During a joint press conference, the French President Emmanuel Macron said that the negotiations of the leaders of the «Norman format» were efficient. The first meeting of the Russian President Vladimir Putin with the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky took place as well. After the summit, a communiqué was adopted in which the lack of alternatives for the strict implementation of the Minsk agreements was underlined. The next meeting of the «Norman Four» should take place 4 months later, in Berlin.

3 the USA

The meeting between Donald Trump and the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will take place on 10th of December in the Oval Office, at 22:30 by the Moscow time. This was mentioned in the presidental schedule, published by the White House. The Donald Trump’s administration has specified that the meeting will be closed to the press. The duration of the meeting was not specified. A meeting between Sergey Lavrov and the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, started at 18:30 by the Moscow time.

4 Kazakhstan

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, announced that all the delegations that planned to participate in the talks on Syria on 10th and 11th of December have arrived in the city of Nur Sultan. The 14th international high-level meeting on Syria in Astana format will be held on 10th and 11th of December in the city of Nur Sultan. It will be attended by the delegations of guarantor countries — Iran, Russia and Turkey, as well as the representatives of the Syrian government and the Syrian opposition. The representatives from the UN, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq will participate as observers. The consultations between the Russian delegation and the Syrian authorities took place behind closed doors. The Syrian Permanent Representative to the UN, Bashar Jaafari, who also leads the Syrian delegation, said that the meeting didn’t discuss the issues related to the Syrian Constitutional Committee
