The number of victims of yesterday’s protests in Romania reached 440 people, among them are 24 policemen. 65 people were hospitalized. Yesterday, about 185 thousand people gathered on the Victory Square in Bucharest. The police drove away the protesters by water cannons and tear gas. The president of Romania Klaus Iohannis condemned the violence of the police against the protesters, and demanded explanations from the Minister of the Internal Affairs. «In a true democracy, everyone has the right to protest, and violence is unacceptable, regardless of political reasons. I strongly condemn the Police interference that was brutal and completely disproportionate to the most people in Victory Square.» — the prime minister announced. The protesters demanded the resignation of the center-left government of the Social Democratic Party and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats. Also the protesters were dissatisfied with the adoption of recent amendments to the legal legislation, as well as the resignation of the chief prosecutor of the National Anti-Corruption Board, Laura Codrutzi Kovesi.

The Greek Foreign Ministry recalls Ambassador Andreas Friganas from Moscow. In the coming days he will return to Athens. «Mr. Friganas is coming back to Greece. He is completing his mission in Moscow and he will be replaced» — a Greek diplomatic source told to TASS. An official statement of the Greek Foreign Ministry has not yet been made. Friganas was appointed as an ambassador of Greece to Russia in May of 2016. The diplomatic crisis between the two countries began with the decision of Athens to send out two Russian diplomats. Greece accused the diplomats of interfering in the internal affairs of the country — supposedly the ambassadors tried to prevent the conclusion of the agreement between Greece and Macedonia regarding the dispute over the name of Macedonia.

An explosion occurred in the military equipment factory located near Salisbury in the UK. «The fire was extinguished, the ambulance service is on site. One person was killed, another one was taken to the hospital in a critical condition «- said a police spokesman. After the fire was gone — another fire broke out. The firefighters managed to extinguish it swiftly. The cause of the explosion is unknown. The factory located about 5 km away from the Porton Down chemical lab.

Syrian army reinforcements for the future offensive operation in Idlib continue to arrive in the territory of the province of Hama. He added that in the evening, the villages of Kominternovo and Leninskoye in the south of the Republic were also attacked. From 20:10 to 21:20, the Ukrainian troops fired 22 mortar shells of caliber of 120 mm, also they fired 7 grenades from grenade launchers, and also they used small arms as well.
