Several loud explosions were heard during a rocket attack on the capital of Libya, the city of Tripoli — TASS reports while citing »Agence France-Presse». According to the agency — at least 7 powerful explosions took place in Tripoli. There is a thick smoke in some areas of the city. According to the incoming information — at least 2 people were killed during the attack. 8 were injured — Reuters reports while citing the emergency services of Tripoli. On 4th of April, the commander of the Libyan National Army, Khalifa Haftar, ordered an attack on Tripoli. On Monday, the Libyan National Army announced that they captured the majority of the sub-urban areas of Tripoli.

f Libya, Ahmed Maityg, urged the European countries to not trust the field Marshal Khalifa Haftar of the Libyan National Army, and to not negotiate with him — TASS reports. During an interview to the Italian newspaper ‘La Repubblica’, published on Monday, he said that the Libyan conflict could lead to a civil war, just like in Syria. According to Ahmed Maityg — Khalifa Haftar, with the support from Egypt, pulls Libya into a long war that could lead to the mass migration and the spread of terrorism.

The UK sent 5 Apache attack helicopters to Estonia as a «deterrent» against a «likely threat» from Russia — RIA NEWS reports while citing the Sky News. The Apache helicopters will be supported by ‘Wildcat’ scout helicopters which, together with Apache helicopters, will be a part of NATO’s program, aimed to expand their military presence in Eastern Europe. The UK Defense Minister Gavin Williamson announced that the deployment of the attack helicopters in Estonia is “vital”. Earlier, the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that because of the hysteria of Poland and the Baltic states — the number of NATO troops at the Russian border has increased sevenfold.

The visit of the Chairman of the State Council of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, to Russia may take place during the next week — TASS reports with a reference to the Yonhap agency. The agency reported that Vladimir Putin will take part in the forum “One Belt — One Way” on 26th and 27th of April, in China. A source of the agency believes that his meeting with Kim Jong-un will take place a day or two before or after the event.

The NATO naval group, consisting of the American destroyer Gravely and the frigates of Turkish, Spanish and Polish navies entered the Baltic Sea — RIA NEWS reports with a reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense. In order to swiftly respond to the possible emergency situations in the Baltic Sea — the Russian Baltic Fleet is taking a set of measures in order to monitor the actions of the NATO warships. Russian naval strike groups, coastal missile systems «Bastion» and «Ball», as well as the naval aircraft are now monitoring their designated zones of responsibilities.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic announced that Serbia won’t impose any sanctions against Russia, despite the strong external pressure — TASS reports while quoting his interview published on Friday by the newspaper »Izvestia». He underlined that Serbian desire to enter the EU wouldn’t prevent the development of relations with Russia. He noted that Moscow helps Belgrade to defend their national interests, including the issue of Kosovo. Thus, “it would be, to put it mildly, very incorrect to impose sanctions after Western countries” — Ivica Dacic concluded.
