The eighth Russian-Turkish patrol begins in Syria

1 Syria

«The 8th joint patrol of the Russian military police and the Turkish armed forces has begun» — the Russian Ministry of Defense reports. The patrol started at 10:06, in the border area a few kilometers north of the village of Kobani. “The air patrolling of the area is being carried out by the Russian army helicopters” — the report specified. The patrol route starts at the customs crossing point at the settlement of Aishilar, and then goes east, along the Syrian-Turkish border.

2 Russia — Ukraine

»The ships that were detained one year ago, during the incident in the Kerch Strait, will be handed over to Kiev in accordance with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements» — Interfax reports while citing the press service of the Border Department of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea. 3 Ukrainian ships — the tugboat ‘Yany Kapu’, and the small armored gunboats ‘Nikopol’ and ‘Berdyansk’ will be handed over to Ukraine on 18th of November. The place of the transfer of the ships wasn’t announced.

3 Hong Kong

«A police officer was wounded as a result of the ongoing protests in Hong Kong. He was injured by an arrow» — ‘The South China Morning Post’ reported on Sunday. Clashes between the police and the protesters in Hong Kong took place at the Polytechnic University. The police used tear gas and water cannons against the activists. On Monday, 18th of November, the local schools and kindergartens will be closed for safety reasons. The tensions escalated after the death of a 22-year-old student during one of the protests. The activists began building their fortifications at some universities in order to use them as strongholds against the police.

4 Russia — India

The head of the ‘Rostech’ company, Sergei Chemezov, announced that India paid in advance for the supply of the S-400 AA missile systems, and the contract will be completed in 2025. «We have already begun the production. The work is underway. Everything will be carried out in accordance with the plan» — the head of the ‘Rostech’ specified. On 15th of November the Indian newspaper ‘Hindustan Times’ reported, while citing their sources, that the first set of the Russian AA missile systems S-400 will arrive in India in 16-18 months.
